L33t Insanity!

A collaborative riddle contest by L33t1fy and Insane Steve

Hello, everyone! Welcome to L33t Insanity, a riddle contest designed for the playerbase of the Kingdom of Loathing. Because of the two distinctly different riddle styles you'll see here, this contest will test every facet of your team's riddle-solving skills. While you can go it alone, I highly, highly recommend you take on this contest on a team.

WARNING: This contest is hard. Very hard. Don't expect to just breeze through it. (I'm not saying breezing through it is impossible, I just don't expect it.) L33t1fy and I am not responible for any broken computer devices, mood swings, loss of sleep, or distance from friends and family which may occur from working this contest. You have been warned.

Ok, a few structural things before you begin. First of all, the two sides were created independently of one another. Both sides must be passed in their entirety in order to gain access to the Ultimate Final Riddle, which, when solved, wins the contest for your team. The first team to pass the Ultimate Final Riddle wins. Simple as that. Or maybe not.

Pay attention to everything you see in the stages. If something looks like it might help you, it probably does. If something looks too strange to be a coincidence, it probably is. Try anything and everything you can think of for any stage you get stuck on. It may lead to that revelation you are looking for to pass the stage. Most of the stages in the contest have a picture with them. The answer might be self-contained, but you may need other parts of the website, or even outside websites to succeed. If you get frustrated at a stage, hop over to the other path and try to work the other designer's stages. If you get stuck on both sides at once (and I won't be surprised if you do), take a break. Maybe wait for other team members to work on the riddle in a different way.

Enough introduction. Clicking on the word "L33t" on the picture below takes you to L33t1fy's side of the contest. It's rather dark in nature, and a quite a bit longer, stage-wise, than my contest. It's also his first riddle contest, which might work for or against you in solving it. Clicking on "Insane" takes you to Insane Steve's (my) side of the contest. It is my third major released riddle contest. My first two proved very difficult for even the best solvers. People familiar with my past contests may have an edge. It's also a bit shorter in regards to number of stages, but if my past contests are any indication, I have no worries about its length. The Ultimate Final Riddle is a collaboration effort.

Good luck! And remember -- this contest is meant to be fun. While your definition of "fun" may be somewhat twisted, if this contest begins impeding on your life, step away for a while.

NOTE: The sound files in this contest currently utilise outdated HTML tags that only work in I.E. -- I am looking to rectify this problem ASAP. Apologies for any inconvience this has caused.
